Holiday Gift Guide with @StoreBoughtIsFine

Sneaking in one more post with Trent from @StoreBoughtIsFine before the end of the year. He's got a lot of friends and a lot of great gift ideas. After reading this blog, you'll wish you were on his 'nice' list. Happy Holidays and Happy Gifting...

Shopping is by far one of my least favorite things to do. It’s easy for me to get overwhelmed searching for the perfect gift! Come December 21st, you’ll usually find me in a panic, frantically scouring the internet for free two-day shipping and presents that are rarely “perfect.”

In an effort to avoid that unnecessary stress, this year, I'm getting a head start (if you can call early December a head start). I chose a store that I know well, Cassandra's Kitchen, and found amazing gifts for some of my favorite people. If you're struggling to find that perfect present for your favorites – the quest is over, here are my top picks:

The Baker: HÔTEL Silver Cake Stands

For that someone in your life who loves to bake, these elegant, yet sturdy cake stands are ideal. I'd like to get a pair for my friend Mel, a pastry chef who makes show-stopping cakes and heavenly desserts (check out her insta for a little taste of her magic). While her cakes stand out on their own, I think she'd love these to display a simpler cake or showcase a cluster of small desserts. They’d also look great sitting on the shelf holding books or trinkets.

The Kitchen Starter: Glass Nesting Bowl Set

My friend Robby has always enjoyed cooking, but for the past year he was trapped in small-kitchen purgatory. After moving to a new apartment with a bigger kitchen and plenty of entertaining space, he’s ready to jump back in. I've been obsessed with these nesting bowls for years and use them nearly every time I cook. As he restocks his kitchen, I know these bowls will be put to good use—whether prepping to make dinner, buttery croissants, or his chocolate soufflé.

The Person with Everything: Oval Wooden Salad Bowl or Deep Oval Baker

After almost 25 years of living in their current house, my parents are pretty set when it comes to kitchenware. This year my plan is to gifts them with some upgrades! Right now I’m between the Oval Wooden Salad Bowl and the Deep Oval Baker. My mom loves a salad and the wooden bowl would look great on the dining room table or at the next cookout. And I think it's time to retire her casserole dish and replace it with the oval baker. Nothing beats being able to serve out of the same beautiful dish you bake in.

The Wine Lover: La Rochere Antoine Glassware

When my friend Stephanie and I go out for dinner, we usually start with a martini (hers with a twist, mine extra dirty). But when we stay in, we love to open a bottle of wine. I think she'd appreciate a set of these simple and elegant Antoine glasses for entertaining. They’re handmade but also dishwasher and microwave safe! Effortlessly fancy, just like Stephanie. (and we all know that La Rochere is an Ina favorite!).

The Entertainer: HÔTEL Silver Rectangle Tray

My friend Annie and her husband Ron are known for their epic brunches. We gorge ourselves on their delicious nibbles, the wine is flowing, and the conversation is always interesting. They are the ultimate hosts and they'd love this gorgeous silver tray (I’m hoping they’ll use it for Annie's legendary Smoked Salmon Spread or Ron's Frozen Grasshopper at the next brunch).

Treat Yo’ Self: Blue Italian Jumbo Cup & Saucer

The Holidays can be stressful, it's important to prioritize some me-time and treat yo’ self. What could be better than taking a day off work and curling up with a good book while enjoying a soothing cup of tea in this beautiful cup and saucer? I intend to take my own advice and relax with a (jumbo) cup of tea and my newest book: A Taste of Paris: A History of the Parisian Love Affair with Food as I plan for my upcoming trip (with Robby, actually).

Treat Everyone Else: Glassine Bags

Many of us spend December baking cookies and making treats to share with friends, family, and coworkers. Whether you're making Ina's Jam Thumbprint Cookies, Chipotle and Rosemary Roasted Nuts, or French Chocolate Bark, fill these glassine bags with goodies for the perfect way to spread Holiday cheer.

Not sure how long my 'nice' list will be this year, but having these gifts options already puts my mind at ease. Have any other great gift ideas? We’d love to hear about them in the comments.

Happy Holidays and best of luck finding the perfect gifts!

xoxo,

Trent
