How to Refresh Your Kitchen for the New Year

How to Refresh Your Kitchen for the New Year

As the new year approaches, it's the perfect time to refresh your kitchen and start the year off on the right foot. Here are some of the best things you can do to give your kitchen a fresh start:

    1. Declutter: Start by getting rid of any unnecessary items that have been cluttering up your kitchen. This could include old appliances, broken tools, or dishes that you never use. By decluttering, you'll be able to create more space and make your kitchen feel more organized and welcoming. This is also a great time to replace old dinnerware or add more pieces to your collection for visitors.

    2. Clean and organize: Once you've decluttered, it's time to give your kitchen a thorough cleaning. Wipe down surfaces, sweep and mop the floor, and organize your pantry and cabinets. By doing this, you'll be able to start the year with a clean and organized kitchen. We also recommend utilizing storage items like our Glass Utility Canisters and our Stoneware Garlic Keeper for clean and classic storage.

    3. Add some new touches: To give your kitchen a fresh new look, consider adding some new touches. This could be as simple as buying some new dish towels or adding some plants to the windowsill. Our Large Marble Pot is so gorgeous for growing a small set of herbs. You could also invest in some new appliances or kitchen gadgets to make cooking and cleaning easier. And, don't forget to add new hand soap to the mix!

    4. Plan your meals: To start the year off on the right foot, it's a good idea to plan your meals in advance. This could be as simple as making a grocery list or creating a meal plan for the week. By doing this, you'll be able to save time and money and ensure that you have healthy and delicious meals all year round. We swear by the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks. Go-To Dinners is the newest and we LOVE IT!

Refreshing your kitchen for the new year is a great way to start off on the right foot. By decluttering, cleaning and organizing, adding some new touches, and planning your meals, you'll be able to create a welcoming and efficient kitchen that will make cooking and cleaning a breeze. And, your family (and your brain) will thank you for it!
