As much as I like the appearance...

Like the other review, I know it's just a spoon rest but it's not as functional as the photos show. For example, I thought it'd be so cool to pour in a little olive oil and serve it with bread. It barely holds a splash of olive oil and starts to run through the pour spout. So, I just have to keep it as a spoon rest. Great quality though and again, I think it's darling.

pretty on the counter

I love this spoon rest. Yes I know it's just a spoon rest but I use it a lot more than for resting cutlery. If you need to pour out just a few tablespoons of grease or skim the top of soup, because this is like a small flat bowl, it can be used for this. It washes easily and can go in the dishwasher. It also matches other French Provencal items on my counter.
