When it comes to baking, we love to have our essentials on-hand at all times. After all, we all know that you'll never suspect when a craving for a good chocolate chip cookie will hit - right?
Over the years, we've come to really find our favorite items that can be used for a multitude of recipes in the kitchen (not just baking), so today we're sharing those items!
If you have any of these, let us know in the comments. We'd love to hear what you think of them and what you've made with them so we can share.
Our Baking Essentials:
This sea salt is delicious and adds the perfect touch of flavor to any cookie - but we also use it in a multitude of other recipes. In fact, Ina Garten recently told SheKnows.com "When I’m doing a pastry crust, like a chicken pot pie or something, I’ll brush it with eggwash and just sprinkle it with salt and pepper and that flaked salt just looks gorgeous and that crunchiness tastes great....this is also great for sprinkling on caramels or even chocolate chip cookies."
This delicious miracle in a jar is too good to be true! We recently made these yellow cakes and topped them off with lemon curd and strawberries - you wouldn't believe how delicious it was. We received a lot of questions about how to make the lemon curd - but we actually sell it in a jar ready to go!
When it comes to baking, we love a good parchment paper. Our Pre-Cut Parchment Paper does the heavy lifting for you - ensuring your beloved baked goods won't stick to your pans!
Oh our beloved sheet pans - how we love thee! We use them for baking, cooking dinner, our favorite sheet pan recipes...the list goes on and on. We also pair them with our Cooling Rack and Sheet Pan Cover.
And, we can't forget our Measuring Cups! In fact, Cassandra's favorite is the Measuring Cup Set of 7 because it has all of those difficult-to-find measurements - 2/3-cup, 3/4-cup, and 1/8-cup.
And lastly, you can never go wrong with a good set of Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls. These bowls are great for any recipe but we do love them for baking!
